On Sunday 29th July, come and enjoy a great day out for all the family to celebrate 400 years of Epsom Salts and Epsom as a spa town.
Entertainment, fun and information. Epsom Refugee Network will have a stand to share information about what we do with all the visitors.
The event takes place on Stamford Green, Epsom.
Following our successful Action for Refugees event last September, the Epsom Refugee Network is currently planning the event for this year, Saturday 29th of September at St Joseph's Church, Epsom. As the refugee crisis continues our aims remain unchanged - to create awareness of the refugee crisis through talks from volunteers and refugees, to bring refugees and local residents together to increase understanding. Activities include music, food, cooking demonstrations and games for the children. Everybody is welcome.
On the second Monday of each month we hold a social gathering at the lovely Zig Zag Cafe (16 High Street, Epsom) from 5pm-7pm and everyone is welcome. Our next Social Event will be on 13th August 2018. Please come and join us.
Epsom & Ewell Refugee Network organises events to enable refugees and asylum seekers, volunteers and friends to meet and learn from shared experiences. Be it over a shared meal or a football match, we enable people to bond and build up their own network of like-minded friends and supporters.
Epsom and Ewell Refugee Network collects NEW pants, vests, warm socks, gloves, hats and scarves, coats, shoes and toiletries for adults and children. The collection will be delivered by SAMARA’S Aid Appeal and ANAYA Aid to children living in vulnerable conditions in Syria and Iraq. If you have anything to donate, please contact us and we will get in touch with you.
We celebrate diversity and welcome new people in town. We organise community events to share cultural experiences and learn!
