Our mission is to lead our community towards a poverty-free future, while supporting those who need our help. We demonstrate our values by being compassionate, kind, trusting, engaged, non-judgemental and resourcing.
The Good Company Trust works on a number of levels in the community, with a range of projects in addition to Epsom & Ewell Refugee Network. Visit the Good Company website to find out more.
We are a local foodbank that’s part of the Trussell Trust national network of foodbanks.
We provide emergency food, support and advice to people and families who are experiencing severe financial hardship.
The number of people using our foodbank centres has increased five-fold since 2016, with a particularly sharp rise since the start of the pandemic.
We have centres open 5 times a week in Tadworth, Ewell, Banstead, Epsom and Leatherhead.
Epsom Pantry is a member-led community shop providing choice and low-cost, nutritious food alongside volunteering opportunities.
Epsom Pantry differs from food banks in the fact that it isn’t a crisis food provision; it’s a community food shop run by and for its members.
The Poverty Truth Commission is integral to our vision for a poverty-free future
We work alongside people with experience of using our foodbank, helping to raise awareness of the drivers of poverty and ensure that those affected by poverty are central to decisions about how to tackle it.
We set up the East Surrey Poverty Truth Commission (ESPTC) in May 2019, bringing together a group of Community Commissioners who have used the foodbank with a group of Civic & Business Commissions who are senior representatives within local organisations who regularly come into contact with commissioners.
Our Support Work team provides friendly face, listening ear and guidance for those who don’t know where to turn.
Our support workers can offer advice, advocate for clients with agencies and provide consistent support to help people to identify and work through the difficult situations they face, in a non-judgemental setting. We also have an in-house counselling service for those needing additional support.
The support work team also provide practical support with: Energy Awareness and Advice, School Uniforms, Digital Inclusion and essential household items.
We are based at the Ukrainian Hub in Global House, 1 Ashley Avenue, Epsom KT18 5AD
