Support for Ukrainians
EERN's Help Desk and includes Ukrainian speaking staff and volunteers, who are available to offer information, advice and guidance. Many of our English language teachers also speak Ukrainian.
Our Hub in Epsom welcomes refugees of all backgrounds, and has particularly become a social and community centre for Ukrainians in the area. EERN regularly facilitates local events, including Ukrainian music concerts and food festivals, to celebrate and showcase Ukrainian culture.
Homes for Ukraine
We have supported over 50 Epsom & Ewell families in partnership with the Epsom & Ewell Borough Council. This support includes:
- Providing support to guests through regular home visits, referrals, and advice from our support workers.
- Supervising and supporting those hosting guests from Ukraine.
- Raising awareness about the need for new hosts and sponsors.
- Making guidance and resources available for guests and hosts, such as this guide for new hosts
